This week we wanted to introduce you to one of our designers, Danny Coates, who started at SDG in May when he was still a senior in high school and is now with us full time. Danny is from Ratliff City, loves sports, and is ever on the hunt for the next state record bass in Oklahoma, which he has affectionately named “Ole Bessy.” He has a big heart and is heavily involved in the community through Ardmore Young Professionals, Pennies for Patients, Habitat for Humanity and his church, Living Word Tabernacle. We asked him a few questions to get to know him better and wanted to share with you:
Q. When you aren't working, what are you likely to be doing?
A. I spend a lot of time with family, friends, and my dog, Brooke. I very much enjoy fishing, going to the movies, and honestly, drinking unhealthy amounts soda while watching my favorite tv shows!
Q. What's the most recent bit of knowledge you've picked up?
A. Recently I’ve learned the importance of stepping out of your comfort zone. In all aspects of life, there will be a point where you have to step out of your comfort zone to allow yourself to grow. By doing so, you begin to realize you can do more than you ever imagined if you just allow yourself.
Q. What is something you have heard or read recently that wish you could share with everyone you meet?
A. I would love to share the message from a recent sermon I heard titled “You Must Be Important.” I believe in the significance of letting people know that they are valuable and that we are all made different for a reason. I believe that everyone has a unique and important role in this life.
Thank you, Danny! We are happy to have you on board with us and love that you are so passionate about serving our community.
